About

As an owner and clinician I have over 15 years of experience providing care to young adults and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, life transitions, attachment issues, and trauma. With a Masters in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine and am a National Certified Clinician.

I would describe my theoretical orientation as relational and attachment based, and I incorporate skills from both Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I strongly believe that the client-therapist relationship is an important part of psychotherapy. It can help a client understand relationship patterns, personal histories, and ways of relating to the world. Once a client feels safe within a therapeutic relationship we are able to explore the emotional experiences of the past and present and identify skills that will help the individual effectively manage and change reactions to difficult thoughts and emotions.

My approach empowers clients to integrate new skills and insights into their lives. Clients learn to trust their ability to manage difficult emotions effectively reducing the need for ongoing therapy if they choose. This therapeutic relationship can be picked up or paused as life evolves.

What sets my practice apart isn’t just the process—it’s the relationship we build. We take time to understand, explore and accept with purpose.
